Technical description – Murano Glass Sculpture “Seaweed” (General) Each Seaweed sculpture is a contemporary work of art handmade in Murano glass (COE 104), shaped using lampworking and mouth-blowing techniques, then annealed in a kiln (tempered) to ensure structural stability and durability over time. The surface finish is achieved through semi-artisan sandblasting, creating a subtle satin opacity that enhances the depth, light diffusion, and organic character of each element. The sculpture is conceived as a self-supporting composition, designed for stable and secure installation. Each glass element is equipped with an insertion mounting system with a brass ring and a precision aluminum capsule, which ensure a firm and secure fixing once inserted into the base. Each sculpture comes with clear assembly instructions, including reference photographs of the base with numbered holes, corresponding to the numbers on each glass element, for intuitive and accurate installation. For added peace of mind, the work includes insurance coverage for up to two pieces in case of accidental damage.
